SWITZERLAND
Little Miss: a lovely decoration and design shop for 1950s and 60s furniture, objects and crockery. The owner, Céline, is very sweet and rather passionate about the mid-century modern period. It is in Lausanne, Boulevard de Grancy 34.
The Boutique Danoise in Basel is simply an enchantment for all those who love design and especially Scandinavian design. Everything is exquisite. You can furnish your entire house or simply purchase the classic flowered Marimekko paper napkins.
Bishop's Rest Bed & Breakfast
Patrick O'Leary is a charming Australian-born Jura-based country gentleman who has created an absolutely wonderful Bed & Breakfast house. It is located in Courchavon, the first village after the city of Porrentruy in the direction of France, in a beautiful valley called L'Ajoie. This B & B is THE place you dream to know, the ideal hide-out for all those who look for a peaceful, relaxing weekend or vacation in the countryside, with all the refinement and comfort of a country home. The rooms are lovely and sunny, furnished with tasteful furniture and antique decorative objects. The modern bathrooms are a dream to wake up to, there are two fully equiped kitchens...and even wi-fi! Everything is superbly clean and crisp, soothing and pleasant. The B & B is facing a big green field with a river, there are plenty of nice spots with tables and chairs to chill out at any time of the day. The French expression "se mettre au vert" has never been more appropriate. Absolutely gay-friendly too, which is always a plus, needless to say. You will adore it this place! www.bishopsrest.ch

BillyBoy* and Catrinette
Catrinette is a lovely shop with design and fun vintage objects and fashions in Vienna. The owner is a delightful and welcoming person.
It had been a long rainy day
Café Français is a very pleasant bar restaurant in Vienna which serves classic French food in the brasserie traditional style. The food is excellent (I had the best moules-frites in years) and the service quite efficient ( I could not help notice that waiters all wear suspenders and belts at the same time, which is odd). A good address in Vienna with a pretty decoration, mixing sixties pastel colors and contemporary mood along with traditional French café Thonet chairs.
Reservation necessary.
Flo is the oldest vintage shop in Vienna. The owner, Ingrid Raab, opened it as early as 1978. One can find there a fine selection of vintage clothes and accessories, as well as haute couture pieces: André Courrèges, Rudi Gernreich, Marimekko, and many others.
